The shallow water between the Eastern side of Ambergris Caye and Belize’s Barrier Reef caters to ideal reef fishing enjoyed on half or full day private fishing trips. On half day trips, your guide may filet your catch for you to bring to our restaurant to cook for your lunch or dinner. On full day trips, your guide can prepare a private beach barbecue for lunch. Snapper, jacks, barracuda, and grouper are some of the fish you’ll have the chance to both catch and eat.

The shallow flats between the lagoon side of Ambergris Caye and the mainland of Belize represent one of the best fly fishing environments in the Caribbean for tarpon, permit, and bonefish. Our resort works with knowledgeable local guides who provide full day fishing trips. For experienced anglers, the waters offshore of Ambergris Caye offer the rare opportunity to catch a “grand slam” in one day. For less experienced anglers, we can set up a separate fly-casting lesson.
